Life can get in the way sometimes, but we never stop listening to music, we just run out of time to write about it.
So many great singles have been released over the last few weeks, so it’s time to recap what’s been happening!
Left – No Way
The duo from Sydney are back with a brand new song and it’s a ripper, showing off Sarah Corry’s sugar-sweet vocal and Jono Graham’s always en pointe production.
This song has a strong message as well, written in response to the current domestic violence epidemic in Australia and making sure that although it’s a terrible issue, we can push forward in a positive way.
Spit Syndicate – Know Better
The Onedayer duo are back with a brand new tune and it’s freaking banger with an uplifting beat and the autobiographical lyrics they’re best known for.
A new album is getting closer and if this is anything to go by, it’s going to be a belter. Taking a much more upbeat direction on this one as opposed to the darker beats of yesterday, maybe it’s a sign of things to come…
Shining Bird – Helluva Lot
This group from Austinmer (NSW south coast’s Austin?) really got noticed with their track ’Rivermouth’ from last year and they’ve followed it up with this helluva track, ‘Helluva Lot’.
Bristling with the stiff breeze coming off the coast and the imminent destruction of our planet, this track reads as an environmental warning, whilst lifting us up at the same time.
Mathas – Bravo Troll
Mathas doesn’t rest! After releasing a sleeper of a hit record last year with Armwrestling Atlas, this WA MC and producer has created this powerful new single on age-old equipment and it is as intricate as it is powerful.
Hitting out at the trolls in the world (real and metaphorically), this track pulls no punches and really highlights the production skills on this super talent from the west.
