Today is International Hamburger Day. This may also lead into National Obesity Day and National Cholesterol Awareness Day, but today, let us celebrate the burger!
Chur Burger, the manufacturers of arguably the best burger in Sydney are celebrating by giving away 800 burgers from 11am today. (join the 4,300 people that have already RSVP’d!)
Whilst I am tempted to queue up for what could be an hour or more for a delicious burger, I will somehow abstain and fulfil my cravings by posting some delicious photos of burgers.
Warning! I am not responsible for drool getting into your keyboard, short-circuiting your laptop and forever causing your space bar to stop working..

The Cafe Giulia Burger
The Rockpool Burger
Mary’s Burger
The Brodburger (Canberra)
The Benbry Burger
The Lord of the Fries Burger (for you vegos!)
One of my favourite things to do is to go to a dodgy take-away and order a Burger with the Lot. This comes with bacon, egg, beetroot (which I usually take off or exclude from the order. Yes. I am un-Australian!) and the sweet piece of pineapple. It even comes with a smattering of lettuce, tomato and fried onion (must be fried!)
I have tried many of these from around Australia and have yet to find the ultimate one, but maybe you’ve got a good recommendation?
Hamburgers with the Lot generally don’t look too appetising, but man they are big!
So, Happy National Burger Day wherever you are. Feel free to let me know of your favourite. I might just have to try it…
And remember…if you make hamburgers, you get all the girls..
