Time to get your booty on!
I love being able to feature artists whose talents I respect and admire, but it’s an extra special bonus to feature a group who are great people as well.
Since meeting this Canberra duo (now Sydney) just 18 months ago, I have been super lucky to have been at a bunch of their gigs and seen their music progress in leaps and bounds. Their début EP, Butter Side Up was a burst of fresh air in an Aussie hip-hop scene dominated by men and they deliver every show with professionalism and a smile and a willingness to connect with their audience.
Now they bounce into 2016 with a track that whispers Missy Elliot, but screams Coda Conduct. The duo have teamed up with Jayteehazard (Elefant Traks) for the beats on this track and it’s a beautiful match. He has managed to help Erica and Sally shine in this song that just makes you want to smile.
Harking back to the 90′s and early naughties with the sound and the cheekiness (pun intended), here’s hoping that it inspires people to let loose on the dancefloor, shake their booties and wiggle dem peaches!
Oh, and the video clip is rad. Sweet dancing, high energy and plenty of laughs!
