There is so much music out there. So much.
It’s almost impossible to listen to it all and my first stop is always Australian music so if I don’t have a lot of time to listen to new music, that’s where I stop.
It’s no coincidence that the majority of songs featured on ‘Tuesday Tunesday’ will be Australian. Quite simply, it’s my favourite genre of music and I love supporting local artists.
The Kite String Tangle is the convoluted name of a solo electronic artist called Danny Harley and he appeared on the scene last year with the lovely little ditty, Given the Chance. It was a nice song, but I admit that I skimmed over it a bit because there are a lot of electronic artists out there that make a song and then fail to back it up and sometimes there’s just too much electronic music and my heart belongs to RAWK.
Well, start beeping, cause he’s backed it up and delivered this tune, Arcadia. A haunting down-tempo song that really hits my warm and cosy centre. Love the off-beat delivery of the chorus and the layered vocals. Really nicely done.
This comes on the eve of his debut EP due out on the 8th of the 8th (next week).
